Bloodline by Richelle Mead

BLOOD DOESN'T LIE. Sydney is an alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of human and vampires. They protect vampire secrets - and human lives. When Sydney is torn from her bed in the middle of the night, at first she thinks she's still being punished for her complicated alliance with dhampir Rose Hathaway. But what unfolds is far worse. Jill Dragomir - the sister of Moroi Queen Lissa Dragomir - is in mortal danger, and the Moroi must send her into hiding. To avoid a civil war, Sydney is called upon to act as Jill's guardian and protector, posing as her roommate in the last place anyone would think to look for vampire royalty - a human boarding school in Palm Springs, California. But instead of finding safety at Amberwood Prep, Sydney discovers the drama is only just beginning...

One of my all times favourite authors Richelle Mead has given us another six book series about The Vampire Academy series. This is a continuation from the Vampire Academy books in a different person’s view, Sydney Saga - The Alchemist introduced in Blood Promise.

For everyone that didn't want Vampire Academy to end (me including) the Bloodlines series gives you all the juiciness from VA, including the famous Rose, Adrian and Dimitri. I found the book a joy to read. At first I was thinking I wasn't going to like it as much as it wasn't in Rose's point of view, but it was so worth it.

As I don't like spoiling books from people I'll tell you this. Any book by Richelle Mead is brilliant and if you haven't read a book by her yet then you seriously need to stop reading this, grab your money and go buy one of her books... I'd start with Vampire Academy you can't go wrong.

Visit Richelle's website for more unforgettable novels...
